The Bull Moose Ending

The human bystanders
not knowing life's truth,
do not see a living creature,
but a source of amusement.

Oblivious they had their fun,
while the bull moose took its last breath.
They soon grew bored and left,
leaving the corpse to rot.

Later the remains would be taken,
and all about them forgotten.


I picked to do a negative ending because I felt the poem was foreshadowing the death of the bull moose. The poem had a sad felling to it which is another reason I chose to have the bull moose die. I thought the bull moose was representing an aspect of nature which human abuse.
